Why would we be thankful for something when we haven’t even received it yet? Believe it or not, but practicing gratitude is actually something that will help you achieve your goals. After this short read, you will know about the benefits of expressing gratitude beforehand!
Gratitude
We feel gratitude when we finally get that job we wanted or when a friend helps us out. In almost all cases, we experience gratitude when we receive something.
So, why should we be grateful before having received something?
If we reside is a state of gratitude, we automatically get into a higher state of consciousness. We also raise our body’s frequency. Being in a state of gratitude is similar to being in a state of (self)love, and it one of the best states to reside in. Not only do we nurture our minds, our bodies seem to become more healthier too. When we reside in such a state, we become aligned with our desire and attract experiences and outcomes that align with those exact frequencies: gratitude and love.
How to express gratitude
Expressing gratitude is a very effective way to manifest your goals. But where to start?
First, we want to be aware of what we think and feel.
Ask yourself how you have been feeling the last past few days – and why. Often, our thoughts are the main cause of how we feel. If we change our thoughts, how we feel changes too.
Surrounding yourself with loved ones, doing the things you love and being generous are all actions that will influence your conscious and subconscious mind with positivity and automatically raise your frequency.
When we feel good in general, practicing gratitude is also a lot more easy. We can express gratitude through various ways and methods, even before having received what we want.

My personal favorite method is writing down 3 things that made me feel happy and grateful during the day before going to sleep. This might be hard to do on some darker days, but these things do not have to be grandiose manifestations — they can be as simple as having nice weather, or the delight of having one of your favorite snacks that day.
