Lately, I’ve been getting the same question: how do you manifest your desired appearance by using your subconscious mind? In this article, I will go through 5 useful tips that I believe will help you. I will also reveal a powerful method I use myself, so let’s dive in!

5 Tips For Achieving Your Dream Body (Through Your Mind)

1. Only change aspects of your appearance for yourself, not for others.

This is the most important thing to remember when it comes down to changing anything about yourself, no matter how you plan to do it. Besides the fact that changing yourself for someone else is harmful for your mental health and general wellbeing, expect little to no results. The Law of Unwavering Desire plays a big role in this if we look at this from a spiritual perspective. This law states that in order to manifest something into our lives, we should truly desire it for ourselves. If what you truly desire is different from what you think you want, you will either end up disappointed or not getting what you want at all.

Do you truly want to become thinner, or do you just want your crush to like you back? Do you really want straight hair, or do all your friends have straight hair and you feel the need to keep up? Try to identify the reason why you want to change. If anything pops up that is similar to what I just mentioned, the next tip will be useful to you.

2. Check if there are any signs of envy or discomfort.

Ever had feelings envy when seeing that one friend keep eating unhealthy foods, but not being able to gain weight at all? Or experiencing feelings of insecurity when scrolling down your social media accounts?

While these feelings are very common and are logical to understand (since we most often only show our good sides on social media), it’s strongly recommended to become aware of those negative feelings. If you’re already familiar with manifestation and the subconscious, you probably already know this is a no-go if you truly want something to change. By identifying where your discomfort comes from, you can start to let go.

Get inspired, don’t discouraged.

By getting uncomfortable or insecure about lacking what we desire to have, we subconsciously create an unnecessary distance between us and the desired outcome. 3. Don’t compare your progress with others.

Please. Just don’t.

Everyone’s progress is different, and that’s totally okay! Don’t beat yourself up when others claim to have received results in a few days, while you haven’t see any noticeable changes yet. A person that has experienced acne will have a harder time manifesting clear and healthy skin in comparison to someone who never had acne once in their life. In areas where you would manifest things without effort, others struggle! Don’t give up on your goals because others seem to have reached them before you. Let them motivate you and serve as a reminder that what you want can be achieved.

Also, the process of using your subconscious mind to change your appearance takes a little longer (if you ask me). Your hair needs time to grow when aiming for longer hair, or fat needs time to be burned in order to achieve weight loss – besides that, seeing physical changes in yourself often goes unnoticed the first few weeks (even if there have been changes). Our self-perception is often not based on how things actually are, but rather a subjective and often negative internal distortion. The next tip will resolve this problem.

4. Keep track of your progress.

Keeping track of your progress will definitely help you stay focused and motivated – although you don’t want to beat yourself up by obsessively taking pictures everyday hoping to see fast or sudden progress. Like mentioned before, actually seeing appearance changes in yourself often goes unnoticed – but the people around you will, and not see you through your own subjective lens.

Asking a friend, family member or partner to help you keep track and for them to pay extra attention to you and what you are trying to change is definitely worth a try. More often than not, others will see changes in you before you notice them yourself.

Also, take the time once every few weeks to reflect on yourself and your progress. Don’t lose sight of your goal.

Taking inspired action means taking the actual steps towards your end goal in your manifestation process. While taking inspired action is absolutely not necessary in order to manifest your ideal apperance, it will definitely be in your benefit if you struggle to see any changes.

By consciously and subconsciously sending out the message of what you want, you close the distance between you and what you want to change about yourself. This could take the form of doing workouts, starting a skincare routine or changing your diet. Combine this with the power of affirmations, visualization or any other technique that has your preference and I can promise you everyone will be amazed by how fast your results seem to be.

The Mirror Method

Ever heard of the mirror method? It’s a powerful manifestation technique that is perfect for stimulating your subconscious mind into achieving your dream body. It’s a visualization exercise, so if visualizing is not your thing, I suggest taking a look at 10 Powerful Manifestation Methods.

1. Be clear on what your desired appearance would look like.

Have a mental image ready of what you desire to look like. This might sound logical, but more often than not I have experienced that some, in the end, are actually unsure about what they would to change about themselves. This could have to do with feeling you have to change your appearance to keep up with others or not being able to accurately visualize what you want. It’s important to work through those issues if you decide to manifest physical changes.

If you have a hard time visualizing, I recommend creating a vision board or finding an image that perfectly represents what you wish to achieve. Do this before proceeding with this exercise: a clear image of your end goal want is required.

2. Get into a relaxed state before going to sleep.

Get into a relaxed, meditative state before going to sleep. Make sure you feel comfortable and try to clear your mind: we don’t want any intrusive thoughts coming in. Breathing exercises are strongly recommended. A relaxed body will automatically relax the mind. A 10-minute grounding meditation will do the trick too.

3. Visualize seeing the reflection of your desired self in a mirror.

This is where the exercise truly starts. I want you to picture yourself in a mirror you make daily use of – preferably a mirror that exists in your home or any other place you frequently visit or stay at. Imagine looking at yourself in the mirror and seeing for yourself how you already have your desired appearance. Imagine how your clothes would fit, imagine turning around and thinking how good you look – your visualization should be as vivid as possible. Keep it realistic, though.

4. Experience the visualisation with all your senses.

The real power of visualization is actually not in the mental imagery itself – it’s in the emotions they provoke within us. Pay close attention to how you would feel and how you would react to what you changed about yourself. Would you feel confident, happy, relieved? Get in touch with these emotions and allow them to make your visualization alive.

Get as many of your senses involved: imagine how your your desired changes would physically feel or how your voice sounds when you compliment yourself while visualizing your desired results.

5. Repeat this exercise until asleep.

It’s no secret our subconscious is way more responsive to suggestions when we’re in a state akin to sleep, which is why I want you to repeat your visualization until you fall asleep when doing this exercise. Keep doing this exercise every night, until you have reached your desired outcome. One of the most important things when it comes down to manifestation in general is to persist.
